My hope for this project is that it would be useful to real people in their offline lives. The tool should serve the humans, not the other way around.

This is not a full-time gig, or even a startup. It's a project to help me learn some stuff, with an application to the real world that, I think, could be compelling.

I am a generalist. I have avoided learning to code for a long time. Something my nephew said, and some recent betrayals from people and organizations I trusted, left me chewing on the idea that coding is, and probably has been for longer than I care to admit, the modern-day equivalent of knowing how to sew or type or lay brick or fix a car or shoe a horse or slaughter a deer or clean a rifle or repair a radio or build a chair.
